Minecraft is a sandbox game with extremely high freedom, allowing players to explore and create freely within the vast blocky world. In the game, after we find a village, we can trade with villagers using emeralds. However, the prices villagers usually offer are outrageously high; trading with them only makes them a huge profit. So, is there any way to make the villagers take a loss for once? Today, a master player will teach you how to properly shear the villagers and avoid getting ripped off in our trades with them.
Curing Zombie Villagers

Villagers are the only creatures in the game that can be infected by zombies. If they are killed by a zombie, there’s a chance they will turn into a zombie villager. Serves you right for selling things so expensively; what goes around comes around.

At this point, we can also use a splash potion of weakness and a golden apple to cure the zombie villager. They will tremble continuously for about 5 minutes and then turn back into a villager. At this moment, the villager, grateful to us, will offer us significant discounts when trading.
Hero of the Village

However, curing a zombie villager only gives a discount from that specific villager; it doesn’t affect other villagers. It also costs a golden apple. So, we can choose to obtain the Hero of the Village effect to get discounts from all villagers.

When we have the Hero of the Village effect, villagers will not only give us discounts when trading, but they will also actively give us things. For example, butchers will give us meat, shepherds will give us various colors of wool, and nitwit villagers, uniquely, will give us wheat seeds.
Librarian

The librarian is a very special villager. We can use them to infinitely generate emeralds. This can be done by turning them into a zombie villager and then curing them, or by obtaining the maximum level Hero of the Village effect.

In the picture, we can see that one emerald can be traded for three bookshelves, and three bookshelves can be broken down into nine books. Nine books can then be traded for nine emeralds. Hey, infinitely generating emeralds is just that easy. From now on, buy whatever you want; don’t ask, just say you’re rich and can do whatever you want.
